This policy explains how returns, refunds and warranty claims work for products bought from Drive Mobility Ltd, whether in our Bilston showroom, by phone or by other direct arrangement with us. Our website is a catalogue and products cannot be bought or paid for online.
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our 30-day returns promise is in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
If you change your mind, you can return most products within 30 days of the date you received or collected them for a full refund of the price you paid, as long as:
Please contact us before returning anything so we can arrange the return with you.
Smaller items can be brought back to our Bilston showroom or posted to us. Unless the product is faulty or we sent you the wrong item, the cost of returning it is yours.
For large items such as mobility scooters, powerchairs, beds, riser recliners and hoists, we can arrange collection. We will tell you the collection charge before we book it, and it will be deducted from your refund.
If a returned product has been used, damaged or handled more than needed to inspect it, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value, or decline a change-of-mind return. This does not apply to faulty goods.
For health, hygiene and safety reasons, and because some products are made specially for you, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on:
If any of these items is faulty, your rights under section 5 still apply in full.
If you bought from us at a distance, for example by phone or email, or away from our showroom, for example after a home demonstration, you also have the legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The 14 days start on the day after you receive the goods.
Our 30-day returns promise applies to these purchases too, so you have at least 30 days in total.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty:
We will collect or arrange the return of faulty large items at no cost to you.
After the 30-day returns period, any fault is handled under the product’s warranty, alongside your legal rights in section 5.
Most of our products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. How long it lasts and what it covers depends on the product and the manufacturer, and we will confirm the warranty period for your product at the time of purchase and on your receipt or invoice.
A warranty normally covers faults in materials and manufacture. It does not normally cover:
To make a warranty claim, contact us with your proof of purchase and a description of the fault. We will arrange for the product to be inspected and, where the claim is covered, repaired or replaced. A warranty is in addition to your legal rights and does not reduce them.
Please check your delivery when it arrives and let us know as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, if anything is damaged, missing or not what you ordered. Telling us promptly helps us put it right quickly. It does not limit your legal rights.
Phone +44 333 444 5786, email enquiries@drivemobility.co.uk, or visit us at Unit 3, Morrisons Supermarket, Black Country Route, Bilston, WV14 0DZ. Please have your receipt or invoice to hand and tell us which product it is, when you bought it, and the reason for the return.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a return or a fault, please tell us and we will do our best to put it right. For independent advice on your consumer rights, you can contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
